VIVID, previously known as First Wessex before their merger with Sentinel, is Hampshire’s largest provider of affordable properties, with around 70,000 customers, 30,000 homes and 1,000 staff.
Requirement
VIVID first appointed Resi-Safe UK in 2017, to help them manage fire risk within their extensive residential building portfolio. This has included conducting a significant number of Fire Risk Assessments of the common parts of their buildings and ongoing technical consultancy support regarding all aspects of fire risk management.
Outcome
Over the last 12 months, we have worked closely together to complete over 250 Fire Risk assessments, with a further 700 in the pipeline for the coming year. Our ‘Multi-Property Risk Management Dashboard’ is proving invaluable in helping manage necessary remedial actions across such an extensive portfolio, ensuring they are addressed in a prioritised and cost-effective way
The risk assessment and technical consultancy services provided by Resi-Safe UK have helped ensure the day-to-day safety of residents and assisted in providing guidance regarding future Policy. This has been particularly relevant within the last 12 months, given the aftermath of the Grenfell tragedy, where we have provided advice and support in relation to a number of concerns, such as external cladding, fire doors and evacuation strategies.
