Requirement
Our contact with Southampton City Council followed a high profile fire in a tower block where two firefighters unfortunately lost their lives.
Our company was specifically requested to conduct a detailed assessment for use within the subsequent investigation process. This was then followed by a request to undertake risk assessments on Southampton City Council’s other tower blocks.
Outcome
The Council received updated and legally compliant risk assessments, which highlighted a number of significant challenges, due to the age and construction of their buildings. We worked closely with the Council to achieve compliance across their portfolio and continued to provide them with support with the enforcing authorities as and when required.
